NORMAL MODE the tone of the normal three single pickup can enjoy, you can easily switch it in one switch in two modes of powerful sound to enjoy CUSTOM MODE. 
NORMAL MODE is a total of five types of sound of each pick-up alone, and the neighboring pickup each other of half-tone (parallel connection). 
In CUSTOM MODE, sound of a normal bridge and neck positions, becomes a series connection sound of a pick-up next to each other, in the other three positions will be in the output of the only middle position. You can switch to a total of two types of tone. 
Tone of a total of seven kinds is you can be output with a single guitar. Please try to press lightly the tone knob of the middle pickup. Pot used are Push-Push switch pot. Retracted in that state is NORMAL MODE, it flies out are state will be CUSTOM MODE. Pickup selector of 5WAY the works depends on the MODE.
